Philadelphia PA: As the rest of the NFL gets ready for the divisional round of the NFL Playoffs, The Philadelphia Eagles continue on with their search for their new head coach. At the start of this process, Eagles Owner Jeffery Lurie said that he is looking for a coach that knows the history of the team and also the fan base.

Alot of people were thinking that the Eagles would not go after another college coach after what happened with Chip Kelly, a Report by NFL Network Ian Rapoport saying the Eagles first talked to a college coach

At start of their search, #Eagles pursued #Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin, source said. He’s told people he wants to stay in college now.

It has been 2 weeks since the Eagles released head coach Chip Kelly before the final game of the season against the New York Giants and the search committee of Jeffery Lurie, team President Don Smolenski and Vice President of Football Operations Howie Roseman as interviewed 6 coaches so far.

On Tuesday there was a Report by NFL on CBS Jason LaCanfora saying Eagles are done Interviews with Coaches

To be clear on Eagles, could be second interviews with candidates but was informed nothing was planned with new candidates

  1. Eagles Running Backs Coach Duce Staley on January 2
  2. Eagles Interim Head Coach Pat Shurmur on January 4
  3. Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase on January 5
  4. Giants offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo on January 7
  5. Chiefs offensive coordinator Doug Pederson on January 10
  6. Giants head coach Tom Coughlin on January 11

Out of the six coaches they have interviewed, one of them have been hired it has Adam Gase by the Miami Dolphins on January 9th.

The question is who will the Eagles select to be the next head coach or they will probably wait until the Super Bowl is over before they make announcement of who will be the new coach.
