Philadelphia PA: A new era of Eagles Football takes flight at Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia on September 11 as New Head Coach Doug Pederson takes over to bring a Super Bowl to the City of Philadelphia as the Eagles host the Cleveland Browns. The 2016 season will also mark an ner ERA at the Quarterback position as the Eagles drafted  Carson Wentz with the Number 2 Pick in the 2016 NFL Draft from North Dakota State.  The Eagles enter the 2016 season by going 7-9 while the Browns come into 2016 off a 3-13 season, lead by 1st year Head coach Hugh Jackson & they have a new QB which Eagles fans are very familiar with in former Redskins QB Robert Griffin lll.

The NFL will commemorate the 15th anniversary of September 11, 2001 during its games on Sunday. The NFL will feature special tributes to honor those who lost their lives and share an inspirational message of hope, unity and community service and engagement.

Series Information: This will be the 47th All time meeting between the Eagles & Browns & the leading the series 31-16-1. The Eagles have won the last 4 games in the series. This is also the 6th time that the Eagles will play the Browns to open the season, last time was September 9, 2012 at Cleveland which saw the Eagles Walk away with a 17-16 win.   The last time Eagles hosted the Browns was Dec. 15, 2008 a W, 30-10 Eagles win on Monday Night Football. The Browns last win against the Eagles was November 13, 1994 in Philadelphia.
