Philadelphia PA: As the Philadelphia Eagles continue to get ready for the start of the regular season when they host the Cleveland Browns on September 11, The Eagles have made some news in the last couple days and made a couple roster moves. Lets update everyone what the Eagles have done.

On August 28, the Eagles made a series of Roster moves to get the down to 75 players before the 4PM Deadline on Tuesday and they were the following:

The 2 notable names that were on the list that the Eagles released were Chris Givens & Rueben Randle who they signed in the off season to help this very young core of wide receivers. Linebacker Joe Walker season is over with torn ACL which he suffered in the game against the Steelers on August 17.

August 29: There was alot of things that happened on this day with the Eagles

1. Wide Receiver Jordan Matthews returned to Practice for the 1st since hurting his knee at practice on August 5 from receiving a hit from CB Jalen Mills.

2. Carson Wentz told reporters that he will not play in the preseason finale on Thursday Night against the New York Jets at Lincoln Financial Field & Coach Doug Pederson also confirmed it saying “Wentz had a CT scan done and it came back he had the two fractured ribs there, so the 10th one is completely healed, the 11th one still shows about 60 percent, So there’s still some injury there with him going forward.”

3. Eagles also worked out 2 members from the 2016 Arena Football Champions The Philadelphia Soul which were WR Darius Reynolds and DL Jake Metz. The Eagles would Sign DL Jake Metz.

4. Eagles would sign RB Cedric O’Neal, who had previously been released by the team on August 21 & they would Waived/injured CB Aaron Grymes

5. Eagles rookie Myke Tavarres said in ESPN Report that he was going to follow what Colin Kaepernick did & sit while the National Anthem is being played. Later in the Day, Myke Tavarres’ agent Corey Williams would say that his client will Stand for the National Anthem & saying “Myke does not want to be a distraction to the Philadelphia Eagles organization. Myke’s goal is and will always be to make the Eagles 53-man roster and help the team win a Super Bowl.”

The Next thing that the Eagles needs to do is get ready for the Final preseason game against the New York Jets on Thursday (7PM on NBC 10 & 94.1 WIP) and then they need to cut the Roster down to 53 by 4PM on Saturday September 3.
